Spinal Adjusting
Taking Care of Your Spine and Nervous System
Chiropractic’s holistic approach views each patient as a whole rather than a single symptom to be treated. We assess the bones of the spinal column, their position in space, their ability to move through their ranges of motion, as well as the condition and tone of the muscles of the body. If there are misalignments, we adjust them into a better position. If there are restrictions in range of motion, we institute movement. If muscles are tight, we stretch and release them. If muscles are weak, we work toward improving their strength and function.
Myofascial Release
Muscles and Bones are a 50/50 Scenario!
Bones house muscles, and muscles move the bones. If there are tight/weak/stressed muscles, that affects the bones’ biomechanics and alignment. If bones are misaligned and restricted, that affects the muscles’ resting length, activation, tone and inflammation. Adding soft-tissue sessions to your chiropractic adjustment is a more comprehensive and all-together superior approach to chiropractic biomechanical correction.
Dr. Jon’s soft-tissue training includes Active Release, Gua Sha, Trigger Point Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Myofascial Release.
Extremity Adjusting
Do you have other bones? We can adjust them too!
For years, patients have depended on us to provide this valuable service. Athletes, desk-workers, laborers, pregnant women, parents can acquire dysfunction of shoulders, wrists, ankles, elbows, jaws, et cetera. We adjust non-spinal bones regularly, and get great results with carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis among many other conditions.
There is no additional charge for extremity adjusting while in office for a standard spinal adjustment.
