Meet Dr. Jon
DR. JON DIAZ, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic, 2007 Graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic
Hello- my name is Dr. Jonathan Diaz, but everyone calls me Dr. Jon. I speak Spanish pretty well, and I am comfortable examining, discussing,
explaining, and treating patients entirely in Spanish!
I’m from southwestern Illinois, basically St. Louis. After high school, I moved to Chicago and studied biology at DePaul University. I then transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic to complete my bachelors of science in human biology, and to then begin my doctoral study. In August of 2007, I received my doctorate of chiropractic at the tender age of 25, and have been healing people ever since!
Now, having lived in San Diego for 9 years, I am married and we have a 7 year old daughter. Those two are the light of my life, and I am really enjoying being a girl-dad. It doesn’t hurt that she is my mini-me in real life.
I have played nearly every sport at some point, but I have particular love for judo, hockey, golf, and tennis, but I generally love to play no matter the sport. I exercise every day, even if it’s not great intensity. I love projects and getting my hands dirty. I LOVE Audible. I am an avid reader-listener. I always like to discuss books, and I am always open to a book suggestion. I like unusual music, and you will probably notice that. I am a cat person. I am a nerd for pocket knives, multi-tools, and cars. I have opinions about life.
My typical chiropractic methods of choice are: Diversified Technique, Flexion/Distraction, Drop Technique, Activator, and Active Release Technique.
Pretty much every adjustment will contain one or two regions of active stretching, with a full-spine distraction, full spine manual adjustments, and adjustments to any other extra-spinal joint locations indicated by the patient’s needs! Longer soft tissue sessions can be arranged by appointment with me!
